Location. The Villa Principe Leopoldo Hotel & SPA is housed in a villa built in 1868 and also has a modern annexed residence. The main villa overlooks Lake Lugano and is two and a half kilometres from the centre of Lugano. Lake Como is 15 kilometres from the hotel and Bellinzola's Castles, included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, are 25 kilometres away. Lugano railway station is two and a half kilometres from the hotel and Lugano Airport is 5.5 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 10 minutes.

Hotel Features. Set in pretty gardens overlooking Lake Lugano, the hotel boasts two outdoor heated swimming pools and two tennis courts. Other recreational facilities include a sauna, solarium and whirlpool, and a fitness room with a range of cardio-vascular equipment. The Restaurant Principe Leopoldo offers Swiss and Italian dishes in a lavishly decorated setting with marble floors, and breakfast and light lunches are on offer at The Limonaia, which has stunning views over Lake Lugano and a terrace for outdoor dining.
