Location. Sunset Bungalows is located on the sandy shore of Etem Lagoon five kilometers from the center of Port Vila, Vanuatu, and 10 kilometers from the Mele Cascades and Bauerfield Airport.
Hotel Features. Tucked into a tropical garden on the lagoon shoreline, Sunset Bungalows offers a landscaped outdoor pool with a waterfall and complimentary use of non-motorized water sports equipment including kayaks, pedal boats and snorkeling gear. The resort also includes a game room, pool tables and petanque. The resort provides transportation to area beaches such as Turtle Bay, Eton and Tamanu. A library and video library also are on site. The resort restaurant, Bungalow:Ate, offers a combination of contemporary, local, Thai and other cuisine. Steak, seafood and poultry dishes also are specialties. The restaurant is open from early morning to late at night. Complimentary breakfasts are served daily. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the restaurant and reception area. Hotel staff can assist guests with booking a variety of cruises and tours. The resort is an adults-only property. Pets are not permitted in the resort.

Guestrooms. The resort's 19 ground-floor bungalows offer furnished patios with folding doors that allow panoramic lagoon views. Bungalows and studios also include Melanesian décor and dark wood floors. Amenities include cable television, direct-dial phones, DVD players, minibars and coffee and tea makers. Some bungalows include kitchenettes. Bathrooms include shower and bathtub combinations or showers only.

Rain forest trail rides, horseback rides, snorkeling, fishing and glass-bottom kayak tours also are popular options. The area also includes two championship golf courses.
