Location. Park Hotel Suisse is located in Chamonix, France, on the lower slopes of Mont Blanc, 500 metres from the Aiguille du Midi Cable Car. The hotel is across from the tourism office. The location offers easy access to ski areas.
Hotel Features. This five-storey Alpine chalet hotel has a sauna and a solarium. Wireless Internet access and complimentary newspapers are on offer in the lobby. Ski storage is offered, and there is garage parking available for a surcharge. A complimentary American buffet breakfast is provided. The bar, open all evening, serves snacks.
The skiing and snowboarding areas of Brevent/Flegere, the Grands Montets, and Balme are all accessible from Chamonix and there is a complimentary shuttle bus to the ski lifts which departs 50 metres from the hotel. The French ski school, ESF, has a desk in the hotel. In summer, hiking, mountaineering, and mountain biking are all offered.
Guestrooms. The 66 Alpine-style guestrooms have bright, warm decor, with wood panelling and modern furnishings. All are equipped with satellite television, direct-dial phones, complimentary wireless Internet access, minibars, and safes.
Expert Tip. The Aiguille du Midi cable car, 4.5 kilometres from the hotel, makes a spectacular climb to 3,842 metres, suspended 500 metres from the ground in places. The views from the top of the Aiguille across Mont Blanc are unsurpassed.
