Location. Colonial Lodge is located on Lake Taupo in the business and entertainment district of Taupo, New Zealand. The hotel is 300 meters from Taharepa Reserve, one kilometer from the city center and five kilometers from the airport and Taupo Tandem Sky Dive.
Hotel Features. A small white brick colonial-style hotel, Colonial Lodge is surrounded by a brick patio and terrace. Hotel amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access in public areas, guest laundry facilities and ski and bicycle storage. Other outdoor activities are plentiful and include sky diving, bungee jumping, mountain biking, snowboarding and skiing, horseback riding and rock climbing. Area water sports include water skiing, jet boating and kayaking. Also, the area offers several geothermal parks. A ski bus stops two kilometers from the hotel.
