Expert Tip. Nearby Chalong Temple is the largest of Phuket's 29 Buddhist temples and includes several buildings, in addition to gardens, pools, and gold-leaf statuary. Painted walls depict scenes from the life of the Buddha. The temple is a particularly spectacular sight at night when many of the buildings are illuminated. Small donations are recommended but not required.
